Summary:

 

The National Account Manager-Retail USA will lead our growth plans within the retail channels. This position will appeal to a business builder with an entrepreneurial mind-set and a passion for developing business through value creation and being customer obsessed.

 

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive sales growth within a specific retail segment of customers primarily located in the Midwest area
  • Managing, nurturing and growing our company’s national accounts portfolio
  • Developing and maintaining strategic long-term trusting relationships with high volume retail customers
  • Coordinating with various internal departments to ensure that customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Regularly reviewing sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • P&L responsibility
  • Monitoring competition and ensuring our products and services consistently meet customer needs
  • Conducting regular business reviews and planning meetings with customers
  • Manage a team of manufacturer representatives to ensure NDS is foremost in their sales activities
  • Providing expert customer insight to product, marketing and sales teams
  • Responsible for account development and growth
  • Primary sales focus is to communicate the NDS Brand Promise, protect our market share and drive significant category growth through existing and NEW channels
  • Provide support activity with existing multi-million dollar accounts ranging from project meetings to account reporting activities

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of retail national account management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, negotiate, measure, and achieve results.
  • US Travel – 30-50%
  • Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills are required
  • Must show a positive work ethic and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel, and PowerPoint is a must
  • Bachelors degree in a business or related field preferred
