Job Description:

The Digital Marketing & Website Manager is responsible for the ongoing operation, planning, optimization, execution, and management of NDS’ customer-facing websites and mobile apps, including content planning, publishing, site optimization, technical operation, and future enhancement.  In conjunction with cross-functional internal teams, external agencies, and technical resources, this individual will use their technical understanding and knowledge of branding, data, and interactive strategy to ensure that NDS’ online presence effectively supports the company’s goals and serves all key audiences. This role will keep the existing platforms running smoothly, while also growing the platforms in alignment with business plans and growth initiatives. You are acting as a liaison between the technical needs of the brand’s website and apps with the content strategy and branding excellence to grow NDS and Raindrip effectively.

Website & App Management:

General items

  • Work with NDS marketing team to strategize, maintain, create and update product, technical & seasonal website content. Must create and implement cross functional workflows and processes.
  • Support the ongoing operation and functionality of the current website platform, while working to improve/enhance performance and functionality. Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites and AEM Assets strongly preferred.
  • Project management with outside developers/programmers and creative team as needed (i.e. implementing new landing pages, creating new banners, incorporating new technologies to the tech stack, etc)
  • Implementing website and/or application components of our product category strategic growth plans, including but not limited to: interactive user design experiences, incorporation of AI tools, homeowner project lead generation and management, and commercial project calculators.  

 

      • Work alongside IT to ensure that the website stays current and secure

SEO Implementation:

  • Work alongside SEO agency to optimize website content and structure for search engines to improve traffic and search rankings.
  • Monitoring and analyzing website SEO performance.
  • Conducting keyword research.

Web Analytics:  

  • Work alongside website/analytics agency to track and analyze website traffic and user behavior. Look at trends YoY and create best practices and processes for future implementation including new product launches, sustain efforts for existing solutions and products, etc.
  • Support marketing campaigns by creating landing pages, optimize website content, and track campaign performance.
  • Creating and analyzing reports on website performance, identify learnings and actions on how to improve performance and UX
    • Make content and UX recommendations, A/B tests, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
    • Ability to identify improvements and manage outside agency to make updates
    • Content Development:
      • Strategically calendar and publishing website content, including blog posts, landing pages, and product descriptions.
      • Ensure content is consistent with brand messaging and current seasonality.
      • Ability to work effectively with PIM/DAM Manager to ensure both NDS properties and customer properties have correct and up-to-date information.
      • Ability to take a technical business need (i.e. product calculator) and translate it into requirements for an agency to complete the marketing tool.

Third-party Management

  • Manage and maintain annual contracts, day-to-day operations, technical improvements and troubleshooting of third-party companies such as SOCi, PriceSpider, SurveyMonkey, etc.

 

Apps

  • Create app strategy re-vamp for existing brand app to ensure it has a clear use case and content strategy
  • Ownership & internal lead for two apps
  • Lead and manage RFQ for app management agency or support team

 

Key Skills:

Web Technologies:

  • Basic to intermediate understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design.
  • Experience with enterprise-grade content management systems (CMS) like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites, Drupal, WordPress, others.
  • Familiarity with website analytics & SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, BrightEdge, Google Tag Manager).
  • Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and integrations (e.g. InRiver, Qbank, AEM Assets, Salsify, Pimberly, Akeneo, Bynder, etc.)
  • Website security & hosting, cloud management, SSL, CDN, cookie/permission consent, GDPR, CCPA

SEO (Search Engine Optimization):

  • Keyword research and implementation.
  • On-page and off-page optimization techniques.
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and best practices.

Digital Marketing Fundamentals:

  • Understanding of core digital marketing principles, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Knowledge of online advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social media advertising).

Content Creation and Management:

  • Ability to manage, develop and implement web content, including text, images, documents, and videos.
  • Basic graphic design and image optimization skills.
  • Multi-region, multi-language support as needed for US website (not responsible for websites outside of the US)

User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI):

  • Basic principles of interactive interface design and usability.
  • Understanding of website optimization & multivariate testing for performance and user experience (UX) (e.g. Adobe Target, HotJar, A/B testing & analysis).
  • Persona and cohort development, needs analysis, data-based optimization, surveys.

Data Analysis:  

  • Ability to interpret website analytics data and generate reports.
  • Understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ability to use data to inform marketing decisions.

Project Management:

  • Ability to manage web projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Communication:  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Keeping up with trends:

  • Digital marketing and web technologies are constantly changing, so keeping up with the latest trends is very important.  e.g. AI, etc)
