The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible day-to-day operations of assigned functional areas of the warehouse operation.  The warehouse supervisor ensures that procedures are followed, such as: proper identification of inbound product; practicing safe storage and handling practices; maintaining accurate records; shipping product consistent with NDS policies. The warehouse supervisor enforces a 5S environment, leading and executing general housekeeping activities as required to keep a safe and clean work environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Takes ownership for all aspects of the day-to-day warehouse operations
  • Work as a puller, receiving, and inspector for up to 70% of the time
  • Trains and directs warehouse associates in daily tasks within the warehouse
  • Ensures all warehouse associates adhere to NDS safety policies
  • Helps with developing, implementing and maintaining of warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Provides immediate feedback to the warehouse manager on all warehouse activities
  • Oversees receiving and restocking processes to maintain inventory accuracy and replenishment
  • Coordinates with customer service the execution of extraordinary customer requests
  • Maintains a safe and clean warehouse
  • Coordinates warehouse associates’ schedules to ensure adequate coverage is provided
  • Working supervisor; covers warehouse associate assignments, as needed

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree prefered
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Forklift certified a plus
  • Customer-focused with an emphasis on doing the job right the first time
  • Strong public speaking and motivational skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate under pressure and possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills (English)
  • Computer Skills must include WMS, Excel, Word, and TMS
  • 5 years of experience supervising employees in a fast pace environment
  • Flexible work schedule; able to work overtime, as required
