Job Overview:
The process technician supports the Process Engineer in all his activities of cost savings initiatives related to molding cycle time, scrap, machine utilization and resins.
Responsibilities:
Reduce molding cycle time and reject rate
- Develop most cost-effective resin blends
- Develop process conditions to use the most cost-effective resin blends
Develop molding processes of all new products and/or molds
- Collaborate with others to obtain best machine uptime
- Trouble shoot process problems
- Operate injection molding machines
- Ensure and enforce compliance with all legal regulations and company policies
Position Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum High school.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a plastics processing environment
- Licenses/Certification: Certification in Industrial Technology is preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Set up new injection molding tooling
- Set up injection molding parameters
- Trouble shoot and resolve injection molding issues
- Process analysis and improvement
- Possess good teamwork skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
