Overview and Scope:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials, operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.
Competencies and Skills Needed:
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking in English language
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good knowledge of manufacturing practices, especially in plastics injection molding
- Operate an industrial forklift
- Attention to detail
- Safety consciousness
- Skill in prioritizing tasks, managing workload efficiently, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Safely and efficiently load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or production area using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate inventory counts, monitor stock levels, and maintain inventory records using computerized systems.
- Quality Control: Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Housekeeping: Keep work areas clean and organized, including maintaining aisles and storage areas free of obstructions.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Commitment to safety and following established protocols and procedures.
- Work experience in injection molding operations and manufacturing
Work Conditions:
