Purpose:

 

To grow sales revenue through the establishment of key strategic customers and identify new business opportunities in the industrial application.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Managing overall of Sales activities with focus on business development to enhance business growth for Industry Application Business in Japan.
  • Define the market structures and the relevant market segments, identify targets and their potential, identify from the organizations’ portfolio of products and brands, the target product ranges that fit to the market needs and develop/set-up distribution partners and customers.
  • Establish the organizations’ brand in the market based on innovation, value to customer, technical support, service, and quality.
  • Manage and market opportunity pipeline and incoming project business.
  • Develop marketing initiatives to promote sales of all products, develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to achieve the sales target.
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company's relationship with them.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas that are needed, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Monitor sales volume, product mix and selling price, supply, and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Negotiating contractual terms and condition with customers to maximize benefits for the company.
  • Ensure achievement of global, regional, country, and personal target, aligning with company sales policies and strategies
  • Maintain and further develop professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies, etc.
  • Continually develop knowledge of the business climate, applications and competition for his/her defined geography and accounts
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward, and individual recognition.
  • Providing customers with a high level of commercial and technical service, being a business partners to enhance sales activities to the customers with the best support.
  • Prepare financial plans including forecasting and budgeting and the 5-year strategic plan.
  • Others as assigned by Superiors.

 

 

Reporting Responsibilities:

 

This position reports to VP Business Development IA APAC.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • B.A in Engineering and a post graduate qualification in sales and marketing would be advantage.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in a similar position of Sales Manager/ Senior Sales Engineer
  • Previous experience working in a multi-national company and selling similar or associated products (Piping, MV Cable, Cable Tray, Clamps, Hose, Automotive parts, Compression Fittings) marketing/selling to the distribution centers/services, industry, wholesale, general industry, etc.
  • Experience in or setting up distribution networks for projects and wholesales.

 

 

 

  • Demonstrated ability to apply solution selling or cross selling as part of organic sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to penetrate new markets and to close deals.
  •  

Other Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels within an international manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and spoken English is a must.
  • Local national or permanent resident speaking and writing the local language.
  • Ability to develop an internal, informal network.
  • Proficient in the use of standard software packages.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast paced and evolving environment, self-motivated, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
