What is this position about?

 

In your new challenge you will accompany projects in all facets of indirect purchasing, especially Service Purchasing for Marketing, Travel, Lab Services, Supplies and holding requirements. You will provide support in the ongoing strategic development of the categories and, in perspective, assume global responsibility. At the same time, you will ensure smooth daily operations by keeping an eye on catalogues and systems.

Your tasks in detail:

  • Collaboration in international sourcing projects and regular contract negotiations
  • Ongoing analysis of the various sub-categories as well as identification and realization of savings potential
  • Support in the ongoing development of an international and sustainable strategy for the product groups in close cooperation with internal stakeholders and purchasing compliance
  • Cooperation in the selection, management and development of suppliers
  • Identification and implementation of activities for process optimization
  • Responsible for the ordering process for assigned material groups and company areas as well as maintaining the associated systems and e-catalog
  • Preparation of data and KPIs for reporting and planning purposes
  • Performing the key user function for the P2P platforms of the corporate group

 

About your expertise

  • Completed studies or relevant vocational training paired with further education
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in indirect purchasing, ideally of IT products and services
  • Knowledge of contract law and experience in negotiations
  • Experience in international cooperation and intercultural competence
  • Strong communication skills and team orientation
  • Analytical thinking and structured action as well as personal initiative
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office, especially Excel and ideally knowledge of Jaggaer One and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal
