POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for general ledger, reconciling all general ledger balances to supporting schedules, preparing and analyzing financial information, supporting the Controller and Plant Manager.

                       

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure all employees are working safely and working in a safe environment.
  • Train and encourage employees to exercise safe work practices.
  • Working knowledge of general ledger process: ability to perform reconciliations of all general ledger accounts, reconcile bank accounts, create and post general journal transactions.
  • Maintain CIP/Fixed Assets and customer owned tooling accounting.
  • Knowledge of payroll process and payroll taxes, payroll accruals, post monthly payroll entries.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control and physical inventory procedures (material and fixed assets).
  • Create and deliver presentations (i.e.: operations reviews)
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, MTD and YTD P&L and analysis.
  • Manage financial aspect of year end physical inventory.
  • Work with external auditors.
  • Work independently.
  • Practice and promote NBS tools.
  • Ensure good housekeeping / 5S practices.
  • Comply with QMS and EHS Standard policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Emergency Preparedness policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all Company and Corporate policies.
  • Supports and promotes the company quality objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Supports and promotes plant and departmental Balanced Scorecard objectives.
  • Follows Code of Conduct & Anti-Corruption.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:   (R) =Required (P) = Preferred  

  • High School Diploma (R)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (R) and / or
  • Five years experience in managerial accounting. (R)
  • Substantial financial expertise required
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment (R)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and PowerPoint. (R).
  • Payroll systems (R)
  •    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics D365 ERP (P)
  •    Sage fixed assets system (P)
  •    Periodically may be required to work in excess of forty (40) hours per week

  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine and printer.
  • Regularly moves about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, check supplies, etc.
  • Regularly remains in a stationary position.
  • Frequently communicates with supervisors, colleagues, customers and suppliers; and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Occasionally transports up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain considerable levels of concentration while working under frequent time pressures and interruptions.
