POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the proper material flow for all molding and assembly operations.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

procedures (i.e. NCR Plan).

  • Ensure proper material handling of all conforming and non-conforming to comply with proper procedures.
  • Ensure correct material is set-up per Job Standard requirements.
  • Prepare resin for molding machines.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork and tags per procedures.
  • Maintain supply of parts and material in dryers.
  • Supervise grinder activity – label, empty, clean.
  • Maintain inventory of pre-mix and reground resins.
  • Ensure accurate inventory levels using cycle counting tools.
  • Participate in yearend inventory functions.
  • Communicate material shortages.
  • Maintain Purge Log.
  • Clean machines at material change.
  • Transport materials by Hi-Lo, pallet truck or hand cart.
  • Practice and promote NBS tools.
  • Comply with all Company and Corporate policies.
  • Supports and promotes plant and departmental Balanced Scorecard objectives.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:    (R) = Required    (P) = Preferred

  • Minimum 6 months of trade school, vocational education, or work experience. (R)
  • High School Diploma (P)
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. (R)
  • Basic knowledge working with computers (R)
  • General Knowledge of manual assembly and molding machines (P)
  • Knowledge of resins (P)
  • Previous work experience using precision measuring tools and equipment (P)

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The employee is required to:

  • Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
  • Exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
  • Exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or
  • Exert 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: (Some of the following certificates, licenses, and/or registrations may be acquired through training, but the employee must be able to demonstrate the capacity to obtain these requirements when placed in this position): Hi-Lo, Valid Driver’s License

 

VISUAL ACUITY:

  • Accommodation as required for reading computer screens and documentation.

 

HEARING ABILITY:

  • Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
