POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Installs, maintains and repairs electric and hydraulic machinery and automated assembly equipment.
  • Responsible for change overs on mold machines and assembly automation and process verification.
  • Supports all Manufacturing Processes.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Exercise safe work practices.
  • Ensure work area is safe and free of all potential safety hazards.
  • Comply with QMS and EHS Standard policies and procedures.
  • Ensure good housekeeping / 5S practices. 
  • Comply with Emergency Preparedness policies and procedures.
  • Supports and promotes the company quality objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Reacts to non-conforming and out-of-control conditions by following company
  • procedures (i.e. NCR Plan).
  • Performs Preventative Maintenance per procedures on equipment, machinery, and facility.
  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Performs repairs and installation on machinery and equipment, following specifications and blueprints.
  • Repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Installs machinery and equipment and repairs automated machinery and equipment.
  • Installs and removes molds per set-up sheet.
  • Establishes and maintains molding processes.
  • Practice and promote NBS tools.
  • Comply with all Company and Corporate policies.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative, fast paced environment.
  • Follows Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption, & Conflict of Interest Policies.
  • Assists in training of personnel.

 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Perform mold changeover in 1 hour or less
  • Perform assembly machine changeover in 1 hour or less
  • Read blueprints.
  • Faciliworks work order system
  • Operate Hi-Lo, Crane, Man lift, Motorized pallet jack.

 

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  (R) =Required (P) = Preferred  

  • Between 4 and 10 years of trade school, vocational education or work experience (R)
  • High School Diploma. (R)
  • Excellent Communication Skills (P)
  • Basic knowledge working with computers. (R)

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
  • Exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
  • Exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or
  • Exert up to 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: (Some of the following certificates, licenses, and/or registrations may be acquired through training, but the employee must be able to demonstrate the capacity to obtain these requirements when placed in this position):

  • Hi-Lo, Crane, Manlift, Valid Driver’s License.

 

VISUAL ACUITY:

  • Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.

 

HEARING ABILITY:

  • Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
