Purpose:

Responsible for Manufacturing Process engineering role.

 

Primary Responsibilities include the following, other allied duties may be assigned:

  • Finalization of Molding machine as required by Product and required parameters.
  • Mold development - Finalization of supplier based on technical and least cost, monitoring development of mold, trials and release for serial production.
  • Estimation of costing of mold.
  • Establish process conditions through scientific molding for new products.
  • Troubleshoot molding processes and material or equipment issues.
  • Maintenance planning and periodic validation of mold.
  • Evaluate tooling for areas of concern, areas of improvement for quality and efficiency, and recommend improvements to optimize molding, setup, and overall manufacturing.
  • Collect and analyze data on individual processes to identify and improve process capability.
  • Document and maintain mold process sheets for accuracy.
  • Lead in continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
  • Should be capable of analyzing process data to determine capabilities as well as improvements.
  • Support technicians & Operators through training in molding process practices.
  • Productivity and cycle time improvement.
  • Process FMEA and Control plan.

 

Reporting Responsibilities:

This role reports directly to the IME head.

 

Profile:

 

  • Degree in Prod. And Ind. / Mechanical engineering + 5 Yrs. Exp. in Injection molding process

OR Specialized Diploma / Adv Diploma in Plastic technology + 5 Yrs. Experience in injection molding (CIPET scholar will be preferred)

  • Experienced in Auto component manufacturing – Injection molded parts.
  • A working knowledge of a wide range of thermoplastic materials and their properties.
  • Hand on experience on Injection molding process, well know with machine and equipment.
  • Experience in Traceability and Ind. 4.0, Time study & CT improvement, Process capability and Capacity.
  • Good analytical skills and Data driven process approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill
  • Fluent in English, can demonstrate the good coordination with Norma Tech center team.
  • User of MS Office, MS power point.
