  • Creation, verification and evaluation of complex simulation models,
  • Carrying out numerical simulations, e.g. mechanical non-linear stress and strain calculation for plastic components, Injection molding analyses or fluid flow simulations, etc.
  • Establish and evaluate material models representing polymer/elastomer behavior (as simulation input),
  • Summarizing simulation results in comprehensive reports and presentations,
  • Working with commercial software tools like ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS CFX, FloMASTER, etc.
  • Frequent project reviews and reporting with project teams, supervisor, production plants and customers. Actively promotes the benefit and use of simulation activities within the PDE team,
  • Interacting with customers, suppliers and Norma locations.




  • University education in plastic engineering or mechanical engineering with focus on plastics technology or similar,
  • Knowledge of mechanical behavior and processing of plastics,
  • Sound understanding of structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and numerical simulation techniques,
  • Experienced with Finite-Element computations, CFD and injection molding simulations,
  • First experiences in heat transfer analysis and simulation of metal behavior are advantageous,
  • Familiar and experiences in programming/scripting techniques is beneficial,
  • Able to take challenge of unfamiliar tasks e.g. outside of key simulation assignments,
  • Self-starting and result-oriented personality with a high level of persistence,
  • Very good English language skills,
  • Willing to travel up to 25%
