Main responsibilities:
- Partner with business teams to understand their goals and challenges, and translate them into clear legal guidance
- Provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice across a wide range of topics, including commercial and contractual matters
- Draft, review, and improve contracts, as well as develop templates and guidelines that make legal processes smoother and more scalable
- Represent and protect the company’s interests in negotiations, disputes, and (when needed) court proceedings
- Act as a trusted advisor in external negotiations and build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders
- Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and market best practices, and proactively share insights with the business
- Support and educate managers and employees on legal topics, helping them make compliant and confident decisions
- Collaborate with and manage external legal counsel across the EMEA region, ensuring high-quality and efficient legal support
Requirements:
- You are qualified to practice law (bar admission) in at least one jurisdiction relevant to NORMA in the EMEA region
- You bring medior to senior relevant experience in an in-house legal role, ideally within an international or publicly listed company (preferably in manufacturing)
- Experience working with (or within) an international law firm is considered a strong advantage
- You have strong analytical skills and a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset
- You communicate confidently and effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- You demonstrate high integrity, ownership, and the ability to stand your ground when needed
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of another European language is a plus
- You enjoy working in an international environment and are open to occasional travel
