The R&D Technical Head leads the research and development department, driving innovation, overseeing product and process development, and implementing cutting-edge technologies. This role aligns R&D efforts with organizational goals to deliver impactful solutions and maintain a competitive market position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define and implement the R&D strategy in alignment with company objectives.
  2. Lead and manage multidisciplinary R&D teams, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  3. Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept development to commercialization.
  4. Monitor technological advancements and market trends to identify new opportunities.
  5. Establish and enforce best practices for R&D processes and methodologies.
  6. Drive innovation to improve product performance, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
  7. Manage R&D budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and ROI.
  8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and intellectual property laws.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
  10. Partner with external research bodies, mould tooling vendors, and universities for collaborative projects.
  11. Monitor competitor activities and technological trends to guide strategic decisions.
  12. Develop and implement quality assurance protocols for research and development.
  13. Ensure timely delivery of R&D projects while meeting technical and business expectations.
  14. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for R&D initiatives.
  15. Oversee patent filings and manage intellectual property portfolios.
  16. Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and validate product performance and reliability.
  17. Present research findings and progress reports to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  18. Drive cost-saving measures through efficient processes and innovative designs.
  19. Mentor and develop R&D staff, enhancing technical skills and leadership capabilities.
  20. Implement data-driven decision-making to guide R&D priorities and investments.
  21. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve R&D outcomes.
  22. Advocate for sustainable and environmentally friendly research practices.
  23. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and technology providers.
  24. Ensure seamless integration of R&D outputs into manufacturing and production processes.
  25. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the R&D team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., engineering, or technology) .
  • Proven experience in leading R&D teams and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and R&D methodologies.
