As a (Senior) Group Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial reporting and accounting activities for our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The (Senior) Group Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial information, compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Job Description:
- Support the Group Accounting team in the preparation of the consolidated monthly/quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and assist in the preparation of the IFRS notes to the consolidated financial statements
- Preparation of reporting data including intercompany reconciliation and execution of consolidation processes
- Support of subsidiaries in business management and accounting issues
- Cooperation in company acquisitions, first-time consolidations/PPAs and post-merger integrations
- Further development of accounting guidelines
- Support in the further development and maintenance of the consolidation software Cognos Controller
- Participation in individual projects, such as ESEF reporting, the preparation of CBCR reporting and the introduction of a Disclosure Management System
- Participation in the budget process, consolidation of corporate planning (budgets and forecast) for NORMA Group, the regions and the holding companies
- Support in the further development of the management reporting
- Support in the analysis of key financial figures and their preparation for the Management Board and Supervisory Board of NORMA Group
- Support in ICT / Finance projects
What you need to be successful:
- Successfully completed degree in business administration and/or comparable qualification (Certified Accountant)
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in group accounting and consolidation
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
- Confident handling of common Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with relevant accounting software and reporting tools - Tagetik knowledge would be an advantage
- Experience in working with different management level
- Command of written and spoken English and German
- Flexibility and team spirit
