Position: Area Sales Manager Central Europe - Water Management
About your position
-
Establishes and develops new customer acquisitions for the company in Central Europe (DACH, BeNeLux, Nordics, UK)

Maintains and enhances existing customer relationships to increase the amount of business the company does with these customers introducing new products across our wide breadth of offerings

Identifies, manages and closes growth opportunities in assigned territory

Identifies and visits key wholesale distributors, retailers, contractors and specifiers in assigned territory

Collaborates with sales team to identify and develop cross-regional business
-
Collects and shares market intelligence on market trends, customer needs and competitive environment

Evaluates membership and attendance at local and regional organizations to promote awareness of our products and services

Participates in annual budgeting process to develop their territory budget for sales

Provides in a timely and continually updated manner the following: use of customer relationship management software, itineraries & expense reports while demonstrating personal & professional organization as well as planning skills

Participates in international trade fairs and commercial presentations

80% of time allotment is on in-field sales calls in countries of Central Europe
About your expertise
-
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or equivalent education
-
Minimum of 3-5 years international sales experience in wholesale distribution sales channel (B2B) in the irrigation (landscape & agricultural irrigation), construction, building materials, plumbing or HVAC industries in Central Europe

Experience in the market for stormwater/drainage products is a plus
-
Experience in international trade (documentation, logistics management, payment methods, taxes etc.)

Proven track record of successfully developing national and international wholesale and retail sales channels, sales rep and distribution networks

Active listener, customer-oriented

Strong analytical skills, entrepreneurial self-starter

Intermediate PC skills, as well as general knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word are a must

Fluent in English and German (written and verbal)

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Ability to read and analyze sales reports and interpret general business trends

Strong planning, organizational and project management skills

Must demonstrate good team and human relation skills, reliability and trustworthiness
