Primary Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Global governance & guidance for production systems and industrial manufactural engineering
- Work across all functions and divisions to support a strong delivery improvement (on time to customer request & past due)
- Improve plant efficiency by developing methods, tools, fixtures to reduce labor and improve process capability
- Own manufacturing standards and ensure the training of key personnel on these standards
- Incorporate lean manufacturing processes based on progressive and advanced manufacturing techniques
- Establish continuous improvement and global production strategies that supports the overarching manufacturing strategic plan
- Worldwide coordination and enhancement of Quality, Health, Environment & Safety standards and processes
- Provide the necessary leadership to promote change throughout the organization and continue to develop and lead a world class continuous improvement organization
Education and Experience:
- Master`s Degree with an Operational or Manufacturing focus
- Long-term experience and proven track record in Automotive industry is a must have, ideally experience in other industries
- Strong people-manager with proven experience as disciplinary and functional leader in an international matrix organization
- Expert on production methods, tools and concepts such as Just-in-time, Lean/Kanban, ideally with proven certificates
- Career progression through various manufacturing roles with focus on industrial engineering and production systems
- Self-starting personality with creative drive to shape processes and structures sustainably
- Acts with a global perspective and strategic mindset
- Ability to establish stable working relationships at all levels of the organization and communicate effectively throughout
- 50% international travel requirement
