As a prototype planner, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new products and be part of an exciting team.

 

Your tasks:

  • Responsible for planning work sequences/ operations/ operating resources/ target times for assembly/ parts production with interdependent processing operations, also taking into account new or modified processes in accordance with ergonomic and business management findings, if necessary with the involvement of other operational departments.
  • Checking schedules; proposing and justifying in-house and external production on the basis of cost calculations.
  • Carrying out target/actual comparisons with regard to required capacities; presenting alternatives; drawing up and agreeing cost estimates, taking into account investment costs and production times. Draw up proposal for internal or external procurement, arrange procurement if necessary.
  • Checking technical documents and design specifications for optimum feasibility, supplementing and correcting if necessary.
  • Suggesting design changes; calculating savings; suggesting the use of new processing methods; initiating and monitoring production tests and analyzing the results.
  • Planning the type and number of operating resources with a variety of functions/processing stages. Arranging production and procurement; coordinating the constructive design;
  • Describing work processes/work sequences/equipment; calculating and specifying target times.
  • Developing, coordinating, introducing and monitoring rationalization measures, reducing production times and process improvements.
  • Supporting design/development with technical solutions. Developing proposals for design changes for economical implementation, taking into account company standards, purchased parts, parts to be manufactured in-house, etc., as well as coordination with the responsible departments.
  • Carrying out special tasks on a case-by-case basis.
  • Supporting global excellence projects and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Decision-making authority within the area of responsibility in consultation with the responsible superior.

 

 

Role Requirements: 

 

  • Completed commercial or technical vocational training or training as a state-certified technician.
  • Several years of professional experience is required to plan operating resources, define production processes, work sequences, target times, etc. and to minimize costs (e.g. investment costs).
  • Knowledge of current processing and machining techniques for metals and plastics.
  • Willingness to participate in further training measures.
  • Flexibility, team spirit, integrity, loyalty, commitment and diligence in the execution of work as well as initiative. "Hands-on mentality.

  • The job holder must also perform other tasks that fall within his/her area of activity or that are assigned to him/her on the basis of his/her knowledge and skills, as instructed by the management and supervisor(s).
    • Supporting assembly (series production plant) during series introduction.
    • Carrying out quality control of prototypes (dual control principle) according to valid drawing or test plan/test instructions and documentation. Elimination or reworking of defects.
    • Deploy employees according to their qualifications. Monitor work execution. Check work results. Ensure compliance with safety regulations (machines, devices and systems). Support employees in improving their work processes.
    • Carrying out instructed activities that become necessary due to operational processes.
