Summary

The Quality Control Inspector inspects materials and products for conformance to specifications and customer requirements by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

·         Performs audits of dimensional and visual inspection of first-article, in-process and final inspection.

·         Prepares and maintains required inspection records.

·         Uses various measuring devices or instruments (Tape measurer, micrometers, calipers, and gauges) to ensure product compliance with specifications.

·         Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection sheets.

·         May perform under other programs or generate metrics for KPI Tracking

·         Detailed documentation of non-conforming product and thorough analysis of disposition.

·         Root cause analysis of issues to help prevent future instances.

Position Requirements

·         High School diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent.

·         One (1) to two (2) years related work experience.

·         Good communication skills unwritten and spoken English

·         Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals.

·         Ability to utilize effective decision making skills.

·         Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

·         Must communicate both written and verbally effective and courteously by keeping all levels of management/intermediate personnel informed.

·         Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision and colored vision.

Optional:

·         Knowledge of Microsoft office (Access, Excel, Word) a plus.

·         Lean, 5S or ISO experience a plus.

·         No unusual working conditions exist for this position.
