SCOPE OF WORK PERFORMED
•    Participate in data extraction, comparison, analysis, and modification proposals for current Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routes
•    Participate in on-site shopfloor process data validation measuring, among other characteristics, weight of products, dimensions, machine cycle times, manning, labor cycle times
•    Provide plant floor support to project team and designated personnel
•    Review that all data gathered meets company standards
•    Ensure processes and tools used are used according to BOMs and routes
•    Ensure data gathered is documented daily in company network systems
•    Write procedures and/or work instructions as required 
•    Interface with Quality, Engineering, Payroll, Human Resources, Supply Chain and Management
•    Training new clerks in related procedures and/or work instructions
•    Reinforce compliance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies and procedures 
•    Ensure employees work in a manner and with the protective devices, measures and procedure required by the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the regulations.
•    Ensure all paperwork and/or data entry is completed accurately and on time  
•    Ensure no interruptions to current production process occurs as a result of shopfloor process data validation activities.
•    Report any damage to machines or tooling to supervisors and/or maintenance immediately
•    Meet schedules and deadlines as per project objectives
•    Continuously look for ways to improve production, quality and safe working conditions in the plant
•    Ensure communication flow from company to employees and vice versa
•    Ensure measuring devices used (weight scales, caliper, measuring tape, scanner, chronometer, etc.) are approved and calibrated
•    Support Project Management decisions
•    All other duties as assigned by the Project Management

 

GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

  • Must be a current college student studying for their bachelors degree
  • Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering degree or related field preferred

•    Ability to Microsoft Windows (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
•    Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with employees, and all levels of management
•    Must possess problem solving, conflict resolution and decision making skills
•    Excellent written/oral communication and excellent listening skills
•    Works well independently and in a team environment
•    Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize
•    Must possess the ability to provide and receive positive criticism
•    Must have the ability to take ownership and be accountable for the assigned activities
•    Ability to multi-task, excellent time management skills and detailed orientated
•    Must be creative and possess the ability to think outside the box
•    Ensure confidentiality of company data and employees
•    Mathematical aptitude

•    Warm/Cold temperatures
•    Constant communication with employees, peers, management and customers involving time management, multi-tasking, scheduling, decision making, forecasting and problem solving
•    Intense work atmosphere 
•    Able to carry boxes and/or objects up to 30 lb
•    Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas
•    Use of computer
