As an IT I&O Hosting Architect at Norma Group, you have the opportunity to help shape the central IT infrastructure in a globally operating company and turn your ideas and visions into projects. In an international team, you will discover and evaluate the latest technologies and develop concepts for their effective implementation.
The Role:
- Autonomous design, development and management of the corporate Data Centre(s) (housing), server and storage environment for both, on premises and cloud hosted resources
- Autonomous design, development and management of backup and restore solutions and procedures based on business requirements aligned with security processes for both, on premises and cloud hosted resources
- Autonomous design, development and management of disaster recovery solutions and procedures based on business requirements for both, on premises and cloud hosted resources
- Design, development and life-cycle management of Windows (and Linux) Servers
- Autonomous design, development and management of enterprise Windows Server Configurations Management solution
- Design, development and life-cycle management of Windows SQL Server (and Oracle SQL) in on premises environments
- Consulting, management and maintenance of Windows Server security in cooperation with the IT security officer and SOC
- Autonomous design, development and management of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS cloud solutions supporting virtual server and storage workloads, backup and DR, in close cooperation with cloud infrastructure architects
- Consulting and design of business-related solutions in terms of the corporate server and storage systems
- Selection and management of necessary IT-tools and applications for hosting and backup infrastructure
- Third level support for the infrastructure operations team, site administrators and other IT teams for the above
- Project Management of international IT projects in scope of the above
- Selection, management and supervision of external partners
Required background:
- Three years or more experience in the role an architect for hosting and backup solutions
- Deep technical and conceptional skills in hosting and backup solutions (Server hardware, VMWare, NetApp, CommVault or similar)
- Basic project management skills
- Fluency in English
- Strong communicator, team player, analytic thinking, openminded, target oriented, self-educational
Preferred background:
- Experience in a similar role in an enterprise organization preferred, but not required.
