Responsibilities:
- Act as a purchasing responsible for assigned commodity in cross-functional development teams within EMEA region to be driven as a purchasing productivity projects for GE reporting
- Drive actively “Productivity Reservoir” workshop in the region, along with Regional and Group Teams. Maintain track record of workshop results and monitor and manage KPI for measuring the effectiveness, e.g. hit rate in %.
- As an EMEA responsible take an active supportive role in building and implementing global purchasing strategy within assigned fluid commodities aligning process with global purchasing and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ensure contracted parts delivery to Norma Gr. EMEA fluid production facilities without interruptions
- Support Norma Gr. EMEA fluid production facilities on daily bases in case of any escalation related to suppliers within assigned commodities
- Interact through the region, source plan creation, scouting, selection, contracting, onboarding, and life cycle management of the supplier base for the fluid commodity EMEA components
- Define and manage sustainable supplier portfolio; selects suppliers; establishes strategic supplier relationship where appropriate and manages it accordingly, always ensuring full compliance for the assigned commodity.
- Contribute in delivering bottom line / top line results, managing the commodity spend / projects according to long term planning
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to optimize spend for fluid components within EMEA region
- Conduct frequent risk assessment, designing and managing adequate measures to address supply and price risk for assigned commodity
Your profile:
- 8+ years professional experience in Purchasing Department in automotive sector
- Knowledge of building and implementation purchasing strategy for the region within assigned commodities
- Working experience in international environment, within matrix organization
- Able to establish and maintain positive supplier relations world - wide
- Knowledge of product life cycle in automotive sector – from phase 0 – advanced purchasing to spare part phase
- Ability of efficient communication and facilitation / stakeholder management
- Understanding of the functions of surrounding e.g. supply chain, accounting,
- Willingness to travel (50%)
- Detailed understanding and used to work with CBD’s
- Understanding of production process of fluid components e.g. plastic & rubber
- Understanding of commodity cost drivers and market information analysis skills
- Technical and commercial understanding of the fluid components e.g. plastic & rubber
- Mandatory proficiency on language skills (English)
