In your new challenge as Commodity Manager you combine the deep technical knowledge of O-rings and electrical components with commercial procurement experience. You will develop the global strategy and foster cross-functional collaboration across the group. The Commodity Manager acts as purchasing representative in cross-functional technical teams.

 

The tasks in detail:

 

  • Acts a purchasing specialist for assigned commodity in cross-functional development teams
  • Interacts globally, source plan creation, scouting, selection, contracting, onboarding, and life cycle management of the supplier base for the commodity O-rings and electrical components
  • Defines and manages sustainable supplier portfolio; selects suppliers; establishes strategic supplier relationship where appropriate and manages it accordingly, always ensuring full compliance for the assigned commodity.
  • Contributes in delivering bottom line / top line results, managing the Commodity spend / projects according to long term planning
  • Drives cross-functional initiatives to optimize spend for plastic & rubber components
  • Conducts frequent risk assessment, designing and managing adequate measures to address supply and price risk for assigned commodity
  • Develops strategies for O-rings and electrical components spend, involving the regional purchasing and cross-functional stakeholders

 

Your profile:

 

  • University degree and 5+ years professional experience in commodity management incl. strategic sourcing
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Experience to work in in matrix organizations
  • Execution focus
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills / stakeholder management
  • Sound understanding of business and e2e supply chain
  • Willingness to travel (25%)
  • Deep understanding and used to work with CBD’s
  • Deep technical understanding of production process of O-rings and electrical components
  • Deep understanding of commodity cost drivers and market information analysis skills
  • Deep technical and commercial understanding of O-rings and electrical components
  • Mandatory language skills (English)
