Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting product transfer, pilot runs, ramp-up, and serial production activities. This role ensures process compliance, customer requirements fulfillment, and effective implementation of automotive core tools in alignment with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or metal-mechanical processes

  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 core tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA)

  • Experience supporting production ramp-up and safe launch activities

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in stamping, welding, or assembly operations

  • Experience in manufacturing transfers or plant start-ups

  • Familiarity with customer portals and OEM requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support APQP activities during product transfer and new line launches

  • Prepare and submit PPAP documentation in coordination with cross-functional teams

  • Develop and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Work Instructions

  • Perform capability studies, MSA, and SPC monitoring

  • Support GP12 / Safe Launch implementation during ramp-up phases

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities (8D, 5 Why)

  • Monitor quality KPIs (PPM, scrap, rework) and drive continuous improvement

  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues

  • Support internal audits, LPAs, and certification readiness efforts

  • Ensure objective evidence and documentation comply with QMS requirements
