Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting product transfer, pilot runs, ramp-up, and serial production activities. This role ensures process compliance, customer requirements fulfillment, and effective implementation of automotive core tools in alignment with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field

3+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or metal-mechanical processes
-
Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 core tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA)
-
Experience supporting production ramp-up and safe launch activities

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
-
Experience in stamping, welding, or assembly operations
-
Experience in manufacturing transfers or plant start-ups
-
Familiarity with customer portals and OEM requirements
Key Responsibilities:
-
Support APQP activities during product transfer and new line launches
-
Prepare and submit PPAP documentation in coordination with cross-functional teams
-
Develop and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Work Instructions

Perform capability studies, MSA, and SPC monitoring

Support GP12 / Safe Launch implementation during ramp-up phases
-
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities (8D, 5 Why)

Monitor quality KPIs (PPM, scrap, rework) and drive continuous improvement

Coordinate with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues

Support internal audits, LPAs, and certification readiness efforts

Ensure objective evidence and documentation comply with QMS requirements
