WATER MANAGEMENT - AREA SALES MANAGER
Reports To: WATER MANAGEMENT SALES DIRECTOR
Responsibilities:
- Establish and develop new customer acquisitions for the company in the region
- Maintain and enhance existing customer relationships to increase the amount of business the company does with these customers introducing new products across our wide breadth of offerings
- Meet or exceed annual performance goals as assigned by Sales Director (supervisor)
- Identify, manage and close growth opportunities in assigned territory
- Identification and visit of key wholesale distributors, retailers, contractors and specifiers in assigned territory
- Collaborate with sales team to identify and develop cross-regional business
- Collect and share market intelligence on market trends, customer needs and competitive environment
- Evaluate membership and attendance at local and regional organizations to promote awareness of our products and services
- Participate in annual budgeting process to develop his/her territory budget for sales
- Provide in a timely and continually updated manner the following: use of customer relationship management software, itineraries & expense reports while demonstrating personal & professional organization as well as planning skills
- Participate in International trade fairs and commercial presentations
- 80% of time allotment is on in-field sales calls in countries of Eastern Europe
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or equivalent education
- Minimum of 3-5 years international sales experience in Central/Eastern Europe
- Irrigation industry experience preferred (landscape & agricultural irrigation), experience in the market for stormwater/drainage products is a plus
- Experience in international trade (documentation, logistics management, payment methods, taxes etc.)
- Experience in developing national and international wholesale and retail sales channels, sales rep and distribution networks
- Intermediate PC skills, as well as general knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word are a must.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to read and analyze sales reports and interpret general business trends
- Strong planning, organizational and project management skills.
- Must demonstrate good team and human relation skills, reliability and trustworthiness
