The position requires to be close to key customers from different location, as a result you have an advanced skill in English.

Flexible travelling is necessary (30% of the time), in particular regarding customer visits and regular project meetings at the relevant NORMA plants, as well as customer plant audits.

Attends meetings at customer from first technical discussion to SOP (Start of Production) and project completion, supported by PDE (Product Design Engineer) and PM (Project management) organization.

Responsible for basic first definition under consideration of customer requirements, most suitable technical features.

Responsible for RFQ design release (technical documentation) for Inquiry level "A", supported by PDE.

Communicates, promotes and further develops the design to the customer.

In cooperation with PDE, fills in technical specification at the start of the project, including negotiation of specification, DVP (Design Validation Plan), counter-proposals and confirms the design of customer-owned interfacing components (e.g: flanges, spigots, etc).

Clarifies customer-timeline and milestones with the customer and with the project team.

Initiates the procurement of sample parts for customer demonstration/visualisation.

Actively participates in project teams (eg: design review and gate phase reviews) and is the technical voice of the customer.

Communicates and agrees on technical details between the customer and the NORMA project team.

Is responsible for the technical aspects of the customer B2B portal, including the maintenance of customer standards and provides proactive latest customer specific specifications and drawings to the project team.

Archived customer drawings in Windchill and all techn. Data in Inquiry database.

Initiates Creation/updates of NORMA Chart-drawings specific for Customers (e.g. chart drawings / overview NORMA components for specific customer) with PDE (product expert).

Acts as technical contact for the customer.

Support PDE in taking care of customer-specific format submission (eg: CAD models, drawing, APQP), ensuring that the customer drawing corresponds to the latest Norma proposal in terms of technical and non-technical content.

Develops and maintains a good customer relationship and a positive image through the customer technical contacts.

Identifies and emphasises opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and promotes the customer requirements/requests.

Identifies customer-based product developments, VA/VE and design-to-cost needs/requests and initiates NORMA projects.

Participates in NORMA-driven design-to-cost and VA/VE activities (e.g: Global Excellence teams).

Creates and maintains a database of customer applications and part number database for components (customer part no vs. NORMA part no).

Proposes and supports technical competitor analysis (eg: bench marking).

Identifies and communicates further necessary future Advanced Engineering needs
