The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for the procurement from third party suppliers, as well as for price and terms negotiation, product sourcing, supplier selection and development and quality control.  Also responsible for sourcing, negotiation, supplier selection and quality control for facilities/services within the site.


Primary Responsibilities include the following:

•    Negotiating the best possible price for products and services.
•    Ensuring all suppliers have appropriate Supplier Agreements in line with NORMA Group policies that are regularly reviewed.
•    Assisting in the sourcing of new products and services.

•    In charge of the NORMA Cost Saving Process including monthly reporting and identifying of new saving initiatives to meet the target
•    Cost reductions on existing products and services – working with existing suppliers and/or identifying new sources of supply to reduce costs.

•    Raise requisitions for goods, services or CAPEX and convert requisitions to purchase orders.

•    Develop new supply sources when vendors not meeting the requirements of NORMA and/or potential savings can be made.
•    Negotiate with local and international suppliers ie preparing price comparisions, cost savings, budgeting and targeting.
•    Effectively and proactively liaise with all departments to forecast, plan and meet deadlines.
•    Sourcing of brand new products – working in conjunction with the Marketing Team, specifically those in Product Management roles, to identify white spots within the NORMA product offering
•    Work closely with Marketing on the redesign of new products – ensuring existing suppliers are able to meet the new requirements, on good terms, if not, sourcing suitable suppliers.

•    Intermediate level MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint); Advanced Excel skills.
•    Ability to manage a challenging workload and meet deadlines.
