We are seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Manager to lead and optimise our end-to-end operational functions. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across order management, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory planning, and quality. You will play a critical role in strengthening operational performance, improving service levels, and ensuring efficient, reliable delivery to our customers.

 

The Role 

Reporting to General Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operational performance while leading initiatives that improve productivity, reduce costs, and streamline processes. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational management, ensuring NORMA Pacific continues to deliver high levels of service and operational reliability.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operations Leadership

  • Develop and execute NORMA Pacific’s operations strategy aligned with business objectives

  • Lead operational transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, resilience, and service levels

  • Identify opportunities to optimise the end-to-end operations landscape

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations across order management, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory planning, and quality

  • Monitor and improve key KPIs including OTIF, order accuracy, inventory health, lead times, and cost-to-serve

  • Design and implement improved workflows, warehouse processes, and inventory strategies

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies

Order Management & Customer Fulfilment

  • Ensure efficient processing of customer orders from receipt through to delivery

  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service and Sales to deliver exceptional customer outcomes

  • Monitor service metrics and drive improvements in speed, accuracy, and communication

Purchasing & Supplier Management

  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and quality performance

  • Oversee purchasing activities including forecasting, replenishment, and cost management

  • Negotiate supplier contracts and service level agreements

  • Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement actions where required

Logistics & Distribution

  • Manage local warehousing operations and coordination with international distribution networks

  • Optimise freight, transport, and distribution to ensure cost-effective and reliable delivery

  • Lead initiatives to reduce logistics costs while improving service performance

Inventory & Planning

  • Lead inventory planning strategies to optimise stock levels and working capital

  • Improve demand forecasting through effective SIOP processes

  • Guide the Inventory & Planning teams to ensure disciplined, data-driven decision making

Quality Management

  • Oversee quality performance across incoming goods, warehouse operations, and customer deliveries

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality standards

  • Lead root-cause analysis and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Leadership & Change Management

  • Lead operational change initiatives with clear communication and team engagement

  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational discipline

  • Develop and mentor team members while supporting succession planning

Systems & Technology

  • Leverage ERP and operational systems (such as D365 F&O) to improve visibility and efficiency

  • Identify and implement system enhancements to streamline processes

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong operational leadership experience and a proven ability to drive improvements across supply chain and operational functions.

 

Key requirements include:

  • Significant experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics leadership roles

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse, logistics, purchasing, and inventory management

  • Demonstrated success in driving operational improvement and cost optimisation

  • Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma or similar)

  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams

  • Experience working with ERP systems (D365 or similar preferred)

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
