Position: Product Engineer (Multiple Openings)

Duties: Perform engineering duties in planning and designing mechanically functioning equipment. Serve as a technical expert on quick connector product design. Develop new products (PDE) and managing the engineering tasks as defined in the PDE QMS. Provide necessary technical product support and interface with other departments and customers. Develop product ideas and concepts based on customer and internal inputs. Manage assigned product engineering projects within budget, time, and cost constraints. Manage product design and documentation for assigned product groups. Manage engineering tasks of the PDE QMS (PLC A, PLC B, PLC C-E) activities toward production. Serve as project leader on new development projects (PDE) in accordance with NORMA’s PLC A process. With other team members, present status, and action plans for project to management. Coordinate with Process and Quality Engineers to harmonize product design information (drawings, DFMEA’s) with process documentation (Control Plans, PFMEAs). Work with Process and Application Engineers in troubleshooting specific customer design concerns and execute corrective strategies pertaining to product design. Execute Value Analysis and Value Engineering projects to reduce cost and/or improve value to internal and external customers.

Location: Various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.

Telecommuting: Permitted.

Salary Offer: $93,750 per year.

Reports To: Manager PDE Fluid.

Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor – Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study; will accept equivalent foreign degree. Experience: Three (3) years in the position above, as a Mechanical Engineer, Application Engineer, Product Development Engineer/Leader, or in a related role. Experience must include each of the following: 1. Creating and maintaining Design Verification Plans (DVP) and Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) for quick connectors. 2. 2D product drawing and 3D CAD, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) for quick connectors. 3. Simulated durability testing of coolant systems, utilizing quick connectors. 4. Injection molding and tube extrusion of plastic products and flex systems.
