Objective:

To achieve the business goals by leading regional purchasing activities relative to procurement of material and supplies needed for operations. Responsible for activities focused on the systems and processes for procurement in the organization.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Planning and Execution of training sessions (Onboarding of new employees / Rollout of new modules)
  • Setup of NORMA-specific work instructions for software modules
  • Administration of the supplier platform, Supplier Scoring / Risk Assessment / RFQ-module
  • Execution of regional training sessions in alignment with the Global team
  • Support Compliance and Corporate Responsibility in Purchasing
  • Proxy for Reporting tasks /and NORMA Store project
  • Interface with Regional finance functions

 

Responsibilities (includes the following, but other duties may be assigned):

  • Maintain close working relationships with key contacts within the supply base.
  • First level support for internal users and suppliers
  • Maintain high professional ethics and behavior; adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Be self-motivated and proactive with an inquisitive mind.
  • Able to work in a dynamic, growing international group with processes, procedures and systems not completely defined and not uniform across all sites.

Office Located in Lake Orion, Michigan

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years in professional experience in purchasing
  • Experience on MRP
  • Experience in defining international processes for Purchasing
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to manage internal stakeholders and supplier-relationships
  • International mindset, execution focused, proactive
  • Bilingual / English and Spanish or German -speaking skills (preferred)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and high affinity for IT
  • Experience Conflict Minerals reporting
  • Financial acumen
