We are looking for a driven Accounting Intern/Co-op (Accounts Payable Department) with a basic understanding of IFRS and financial principles who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. Under the supervision of the accounting team, the Accounting Intern can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, analyze actual financial data, learn more about ERP software, and assist with other accounting activities.


Accounting Intern/Co-op Responsibilities:

  • Virtual trainings with members of the accounts payable department as they perform their duties.
  • Assisting with research, filing, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as invoice statements, general ledger accounts and accruals.
  • Working with ERP software.
  • Reconcile invoices with packing slips and post invoices in ERP software to ensure accurate and timely payment.
  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve issues and discrepancies.
  • Learning how to work as part of the accounts payable team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company.
  • Comply with company guidelines and approval procedures.
  • Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.
  • Work with purchasing and receiving departments to resolve issues and ensure accurate financial postings.


Accounting Intern/ Co-op Requirements:

  • Must be a currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program
  • Proficient Excel skills required
  • Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
  • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
